Jason Emery

Born into a Rugby League family, the game is in my blood so when i was five I followed by brothers example and started playing for Sadleir Tigers in the Liverpool area of South Western Sydney.

From there I played every year and graduated through the junior representative ranks and made the grade at Parramatta from 1984 - 1986 before switching to the Penrith Panthers in 1987 - 1988. During my playing career I was lucky enough to play under some great coaches such as John Monie, Tim Sheens, Peter Louis and Ron Willey.

IN 1989 I suffered a torn cruciate ligament which put paid to my playing career but it only made me more determined to stay in the game, after coaching Junior Rugby League for a few years I then set out to put my knowledge and experience to good use and started doing what I do best -- talking and reporting Rugby League.

My real passion is for International Rugby League and i would love to see it back up where it belongs as the pinnacle of Rugby League, hence my interest in the well being of Rugby League in other parts of the world.

My work as a Journo has covered several magazines such as Rugby League World, League Express, Thirteen and Rugby League Review as well as on Radio and Official club websites.
